BlackBerry App World 2.0 Exits Beta, Free for All

Research In Motion today announced that BlackBerry App World 2.0 is no longer in beta and is free for all BlackBerry customers to download and use. To start, developers will be able to offer applications for sale at the $0.99 and $1.99 price points. One of the key features of App World 2.0 is support for carrier and credit card billing. RIM is also making BlackBerry ID available as part of App World 2.0. BlackBerry ID lets users manage their BlackBerry account information more easily across multiple devices. The new version of App World also has improved navigation. Users will be notified directly on their handsets when the new application store front is available for download.
