Droid Android 2.2 Froyo OTA Stopped Due to Bug Issues?

Posted on 05 August 2010

Word has hit the net waves that the over the air update of FRG01B Froyo which is for the Motorola Droid smartphone has been stopped, the reason being the Android 2.2 update apparently is suffering from some unnamed bugs.According to Kellex over on Droid-life, the info on the stoppage stems from Droid Forums and Android Forums and apparently a leaked FRG22 Froyo build is replacing FRG01B, and to shine some light on the situation they say they receive a screenshot via a reader’s email which claims…The reader received FRG01B, “only to be prompted immediately after with a “security patch” which was about “1.6mb” and took him to build FRG22.”Furthermore, apparently if you already manually updated your Motorola Droid to FRG01B then all is okay. They also say that a file should be available to upgrade to “whatever new build” for you if the story is real.
