Samsung Galaxy S Texting World Record Beaten by iPhone? Video

Posted on 25 August 2010

The other day the big news in the texting world was that 27 year old Melissa Thompson of the UK set a new Guinness World Record for text messaging speed by using Swype on a Samsung Galaxy S smartphone. However, according to Andrew Munchbach, of the Boy Genius Report, one of their readers by the name of Brian decided he’d have a go at the world record on his iPhone and doing so manually and not using Swipe. The Guinness World Record set by Melissa was pushing out this sentence in under 26 seconds…“The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.”Apparently Brian is aged 19 and made a video of himself typing out that very same sentence, which you can view below and shows that his speedy finger managed to complete the task in under 22 seconds, and although it’s obviously not the official new record is quite a bit of an impressive piece of finger movement. So hit up the video, check it out and see if you can best it…enjoy
