UK iPhone Price War May Be On Its Way

Tesco Mobile have recently announced that they are going to cut the price of their iPhone bundles. This price reduction is just four months after they introduced the handset to its range of mobile phones.The giant known more for their groceries than mobile phones have revealed that it will cut £15 off its unlimited package which means all you Apple addicts out there can now get your hands on an iPhone 3GS 16GB with unlimited calls, data, Wi-Fi and texts for just £45 per month on a two year contract the same tariff did cost £60 a month.

The big problem with getting a new smartphone for most is having to sign up for a lengthy agreement usually 2 years or more, so a new lower contract of say 12 months for a top of the range smartphone would be attractive.This is probably what UK superstore Tesco is thinking, as according to an article over on 3g by Miles J Thomas, Tesco has now made the new iPhone 4 16GB handset available on a 12 month contract. Tesco Mobile also offer the iPhone 4 32GB on a 12 month contract but obviously the up front cost is considerably more.

If you own an unlocked smartphone and go the SIM only route for your mobile service in the UK there si now even a cheaper SIM only solution available from supermarket giant Tesco.According to an article over on Mobile Today, Tesco has now launched their £6 SIM Only deal which is apparently “the UK’s cheapest mobile phone contract,” and offers the user 100 minutes and unlimited text per month for just six quid.
