So much for iPhone catching Android

Just weeks ago the Apple Fanclub of bloggers and journalists giddily posted about how iPhone had reversed Androids' gains. But new data from comScore shows that, in the United States at least, Android is doing just fine, despite iPhone's remarkable fourth-quarter sales surge (more than 37 million units).

Users of Android phones are more likely to have sex on a first date and have one-night stands, according to survey results revealed by  Match.com . The survey was conducted by Zoomerang and found that 62% of singles who use Android devices have had sex on a first date, compared with 57% of iPhone users and 48% of BlackBerry users. iPhone users are more likely to date someone in their workplace, with nearly a quarter of iPhone-owning singles having had an office romance in the last five years.

Facebook’s Mobile Monthly Active Users Grew 21% Over Past Four Months

RIM Accepting Android Apps for Playbook OS 2.0

Research In Motion today indicated that developers who want their Android applications to be available for the BlackBerry Runtime for Android in PlayBook OS 2.0 when it launches next month need to submit them no later than Monday, February 6. The Android Player is a key addition to PlayBook OS, which will be able to run Android applications in an emulator environment. Android apps that can run within PlayBook OS 2.0 will also be compatible with BlackBerry 10 when it launches later this year.
