There have been camps and contests to make sure that the WP7 has the latest cutting edge technologies built in so that people, at least the developers, know it. The handset makers, the carriers have be reached and accommodated to guarantee first class products and services.

  • Posted on Windows 7 News & TipsOn January 20th, Microsoft announced the release of an open source project which is an SDK for Windows Phone for Amazon’s Web Services (AWS). The SDK essentially gives developers, ”…a speed dial that lets them quickly connect and integrate Windows Phone applications with AWS (S3, SimpleDB, and SQS Cloud Services).
    Amazon’s own Terry Wise spoke about the new offering for Windows Phone and its benefits to customers:

  • Synaptics today announced Design Studio 4, Synaptics' ClearPad development technology, with a new feature called SignalClarity. These products will help smartphone makers create devices that have improved accuracy, better finger separation, and vastly improved handling of electrical noise. The signal-to-noise improvement in particular is important because it will allow handset makers to use less expensive display panels and less expensive chargers, which will in turn reduce development costs and improve time-to-market.

  • AFP - Microsoft on Tuesday made the latest version of its mobile phone software available to handset partners as it seeks to claw back market share from Apple and Google.
